波士顿是一个成熟的城市, 在过去325年, 它不断重新创造和转型, 并随着政治、经济、移居和科技方面的转变作出适应和调整。波士顿的经济由出口自然资源转为制造业以至服务业和知识型产业, 它经历过无数次的繁荣和衰落。
于1月7至13日, 李教授带领着12名麻省理工的学生, 在汕头大学展开汕头市规划研究的工作坊。该工作坊将会探讨未来汕头市在持续性和流动性方面的发展规划, 以及汕头大学邻近地区的发展。在讲座的问答环节中, 观众可以就着汕头市的持续性规划和发展课题与李教授交换意见。
Tunney LEE
Professor Emeritus of Architecture and City Planning, MIT and the ChineseUniversity of Hong Kong
Tunney Lee was born in Taishan, Guangdong, China and grew up in Boston’s Chinatown.
He has a B.Arch from the University of Michigan and was a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Rome. He has worked for Buckminster Fuller, I.M. Pei, and others. He was Chief of Planning Design for the Boston Development Authority and the Director of the Massachusetts Division of Capital Planning and Operations.
He was Head of MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning and the founder of the Department of Architecture at the ChineseUniversity of Hong Kong. At present, he teaches a course on Immigration and Neighborhoods and a studio on sustainable neighborhoods in China (Foshan, Gaoming, Shanghai, Shenzhen) at MIT.
